Cowry Arts Project (CAP) is an initiative geared at encouraging young pupils (Children) in the discipline of Fine and Creative Arts; inspiring and giving birth to venerable leaders with disciplined aesthetic values, and positive personal and public character.

The programme is a practical based technical skills training workshop that seeks to tutor less privileged-young emerging talents in the productive use of fine/creative arts and entertainment as a tool for education, socio-cultural integration and human developmental skills.

The Cowry Arts Project is a non-governmental and non-profit initiative created to reach out to the less privileged Children in the society

The Cowry Arts Project is a nongovernmental and nonprofit initiative created to reach out to the less privileged Children in the society.

The CAP is created by Danghai Andrew O.A.U, an independent professional filmmaker, a graduate of the National Film Institute, Jos and currently a Senior Technical Staff in Department of Theatre Arts, Faculty of Arts; University of Ibadan.

The objective of the CAP initiative is to ensure inter-personal skills development, to promote culture and instill moral and societal discipline and in the overall, promote Fine Arts as the core to all creative processes, the CAP strives to train young people to appreciate, understand and develop critical awareness of the products of the mind, the voice, the hands, the body and the environment thus.

In celebrating the spirit of imagination, the CAP believes that fine and creative arts forms aids young pupils in the development of critical-and-creative thinking skills. And CAP beliefs that fine arts are basic to life and fundamental to the development of the human spirit.
